Paul talks about Israel and how they sought righteousness by the works of the law and not by faith - their "own" righteousness instead of submitting to the righteousness of God. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes.
Lord, keep me from trying to establish my "own" kind of righteousness. I do not serve the law, or people, or even the ministry; I serve You because You served me - You saved me.
